Rain, water, balance, lines, and the weight carried on a small back become the first lessons of Bana's sword. She is not being taught to win fights yet. She is learning how not to spill, how to see where a line wants to go, how to ask, and how to keep her hands steady. Five drops become a measure of growth. Beside the hearth, the child who will one day carry a dagger begins building the body and attention needed to use a blade without breaking what should be protected.
