Father Oran is a priest whose name appears in no Church registry—the “Absent Priest.”
After a brutal exorcism in a village drowned in mist, another prayer calls him toward the sea. There he finds Aidan, a ten-year-old boy raised in poverty, kindness, and gratitude—and a presence that has waited centuries for a soul like his.
The wind stops. The sea forgets how to breathe. Prayer sinks into the earth instead of rising toward heaven.
As Baal closes in on the boy, Oran must confront a question deeper than exorcism: if God remains silent, does forgiveness still exist?
Ash, salt, prayer, silence—and Hail, the demon who knows God.
A dark fantasy about faith, mercy, and the shape of forgiveness when no answer comes.
