In a high-rise building in Minato, Tokyo, the office of Kido Holdings occupied the top floor. It was one of Japan’s most prestigious companies. The CEO, Yobu Kido, was known as an honest and conscientious leader who ensured fair treatment for both employees and subcontractors.

At home, he was blessed with three children and shared a harmonious life with his wife, Mariko. Every morning at five, he would rise and stop by the church before heading to the office—a daily ritual. Deeply faithful and generous with donations, his true strength, however, lay in his ability to choose good even when no one was watching.
