Can peacetime be a bad time?

Ethan is a war hero without a war—the battle between humans and demons reached its bloody conclusion, and the human race survived, but what is left now that the screaming’s stopped? For Ethan, if you can’t fight a monster, you teach. He’s reluctantly hired as an instructor at the greatest academy on the continent—Glorenstein Academy. He begins a new life molding the minds of the annoying teenagers of the continent’s paragons. But Ethan discovers that the war may not be over, forcing him to become a whole new kind of hero for the students he’s starting to care about.

Teaching pays the bills, yes, but for Ethan, there is no greater currency than blood—and anyone coming after him or his students will pay it handsomely.
