Lady Jerenia has no allies. In the Mercier dukedom, she exists to be used and abused--nothing more. Jerenia hopes that bearing a child will grant her the respect she deserves, but a baby never comes. She hopes that her husband Vincent will love her, but he cheats on Jerenia with her best friend Erica. The two even conspire to kill her--but Jerenia survives. Seeing clearly for the first time, Jerenia now hopes only for one thing: revenge.
